Seasonal

Seasonal design through the eye of an interior designer.

CGaia Designs creates custom Christmas and seasonal décor for homes and businesses throughout the Greater Houston area, including design, sourcing, styling and installation.

Most holiday décor is added to a room. Ours is designed into it.

We consider the architecture, the furnishings, the color palette and the scale of the space, so the season feels integrated with your interiors while still delivering the transformation that makes the holidays worth the effort.

Whether we are reinventing pieces you have collected for years or creating something entirely new, the result should feel intentional, layered and distinctly yours.

Decorating The White House

Christy has been selected to help decorate The White House for Christmas — one of roughly 150 volunteer decorators chosen from more than 15,000 applicants nationwide. She will spend a full week in Washington, D.C., bringing the People’s House to life for the holidays.

Three ways to work together

Seasonal projects are structured one of three ways, depending on how much of your existing collection you want to keep.

  1. Restyle You already have the décor. We edit, style and professionally install your existing collection in a fresh and elevated way.
  2. Refresh We incorporate what you already own while sourcing select new pieces to update and enhance the overall design.
  3. Reimagine We create a new seasonal concept specifically for your home, including creative direction, sourcing, styling and installation.

Seasonal design for businesses

CGaia Designs installs commercial Christmas and seasonal décor for offices, retail, restaurants, hospitality, venues and event spaces throughout the Houston area.

Commercial seasonal work is designed to a brand and a footprint rather than a family's traditions. It has to read from the entrance, survive the traffic and look correct in every photo a guest takes.

We collaborate readily with property managers, venue teams, interior designers and planners, and we work to install windows that do not interrupt your operating hours.

Custom pricing for every home

Every project is designed and priced individually after your in-home consultation, so the investment reflects your home, your style and the scope you envision. All seasonal projects begin at a $500 minimum.

Seasonal FAQ

CGaia Designs serves clients throughout the Greater Houston area, including Sugar Land, Missouri City, Sienna and surrounding communities. Select destination projects may also be available depending on scope and schedule.

The earlier, the better. Installation dates are limited and typically fill well before the season begins. Returning clients are given priority, and new clients are encouraged to reserve as early as possible.

Seasonal design is quoted based on the size of the space, the number of trees and areas being decorated, installation requirements, existing décor, new materials needed and overall design scope. A $500 minimum applies to all seasonal projects, whether we are styling décor you already own, sourcing new pieces, or combining both. After learning about your home and vision, we provide a customized proposal.

Absolutely. Many clients already own beautiful pieces that simply need to be edited, layered or styled differently. We can incorporate your existing ornaments, ribbon, keepsakes, greenery and décor while introducing new elements where needed. The $500 minimum still applies.

Yes. Often the most beautiful transformation comes from thoughtfully editing what you already own. We can rework existing décor, update ribbon, adjust the color direction, refresh greenery and restyle pieces so your collection feels renewed without starting over.

Absolutely. From color palette, ribbon, ornaments, greenery, florals and decorative accents through final installation, we can create a cohesive collection designed to complement your interiors and evolve beautifully year after year.

Both may be available depending on the project. For many residential installations, décor is purchased for the client so the collection can be built upon year after year. For select installations, rental or specialty pieces may be provided. Your proposal will outline exactly what is purchased, rented, newly sourced or supplied from your existing collection.

Trees, mantels, staircases, entryways, dining rooms, kitchens, wreaths, garlands, tablescapes, exterior entries, planters and seasonal florals. Your project can be as focused as one beautifully styled tree or extend throughout multiple spaces.

Takedown may be added to your installation. We carefully remove, organize and prepare your décor for storage at the end of the season. Storage options depend on the project and are discussed in your proposal.

Yes. We collaborate readily with interior designers, architects, builders, event planners and other creative professionals. We approach seasonal décor through the same lens as interiors, so the result feels intentional rather than added on.

We focus on the decorative and design side of holiday installation rather than roofline lighting. We design entryways, wreaths, garlands, planters, trees, ribbon, greenery and decorative lighting, and we work alongside a professional lighting installer when architectural lighting is required.

Yes. Offices, retail, restaurants, hospitality, venues and event spaces, including branded installations and window displays.

We approach Christmas through the eye of both an interior designer and a floral designer. Rather than adding décor to a room, we consider its architecture, furnishings, palette, scale and personality.
